LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – Diastema is a condition referring to an open space between teeth, most often the upper central incisors, which Dr. David Alpan, Las Vegas dentist, can fix at his practice Aesthetic Orthodontics.
Many well-known people – actors, actresses, political figures, athletes and musicians – have diastema and opted not to change it, such as Condoleezza Rice, Elton John, Madonna, David Letterman and Michael “Flea” Balzary.

Thank you so much to all of the patients, friends, family, colleagues, and local businesses that have engaged and interacted with Aesthetic Orthodontics via social media!

For the past few months, my team and I have been focusing on creating a better online presence through social media. We have been working at creating a sense of community and getting our patients involved by having Facebook challenges and competitions and consistently interacting via Twitter. Additionally, we have been starting to update our online profiles, such as Google Places, to reflect our new logo and contain the most current information about our offices and promotions.

The response that we have received, especially over Facebook, has been extremely rewarding. This week, we hit a milestone with our 1000th like and are excited about reaching out to our patients and friends to get our next thousand.

Los Angeles Orthodontics Pro Offers Invisalign Teen

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Dr. David Alpan’s Los Angeles orthodontics practice started offering Invisalign Teen when Align Technology launched the product line in July 2008.

The Invisalign system is a series of clear, removable teeth aligners that gradually move teeth into the proper positions. The teen version added a blue dot inside the aligner on one of the back molars. If the aligner has been worn as directed, the blue dot will be faded. Invisalign Teen also allows for up to six replacement aligners if one is lost or broken.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA- Dr. David Alpan, a Las Vegas Invisalign provider, is using World No Tobacco Day on May 31 to draw attention to the oral side effects of tobacco use.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – April is National Facial Protection Month, and Dr. David Aplan, a Las Vegas braces provider, wants you to know about the importance of mouth guards for athletes of every age.

When playing any sport with potential for facial injury, Dr. Alpan and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Association of Orthodontists recommend the use of a mouth guard and other protective gear.
