How can parents ensure their teens wear the Invisalign aligners properly?
Yes. Each aligner includes a small blue dot on the end. If your teen wears the aligners each day for the recommended time, the blue dot will slowly wear away. This allows both you and Dr. Alpan to monitor your child’s aligner usage.
What happens if my teen loses an aligner?
We know that accidents happen. Kids misplace aligners and sometimes even throw them away at lunch by mistake. Invisalign can provide up to six replacement aligners in case of situations such as these. This gives parents peace of mind.
How long will my teen need to wear the aligners?
The comfortable Invisalign Teen aligners will need to be worn between 20 and 22 hours per day, every day. Total treatment time for Invisalign Teen may take between a year and 18 months. However, failing to wear an aligner for the prescribed period of time each day or simply forgetting to wear it one day can significantly increase treatment time.
