What is Invisalign and how does it work?

Invisalign patients typically are given three sets of aligners at each orthodontic visit. They wear each aligner for about two weeks. Primarily, they should be removed only to eat, drink, brush and floss.

As each aligner is replaced with the next in the series, your teeth gradually will move week by week until they have straightened into the final virtual ClinCheck position that you and Dr. Alpan agreed upon before treatment began.

You’ll visit our office about once every six weeks for a check-up to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages between 9 and 15 months. Invisalign patients wear between 18 and 30 aligners during their treatment, but both of these figures will vary from patient to patient.
